Love love love.....

I read Hayes chapter about the Characters of Effective Teachers. This is just a brief note on it.

It was a really accessible read compared with a lot of the other things I am having to read just now!

It was quite a long list of the superpowers teachers need to have and a bit contradictory by saying that even though we need to be super heros and personally invest so much, we also need to look after our own mental wellbeing!

I loved that it didn't even mention your subject knowledge! More about your enthusiasm and caring about the children, their wellbeing and their learning.

My main take away from it is that people don't remember what you said to them, but they always remember how you made them feel.
